With a private rooftop terrace and more-is-more opulent interiors, you can see why this former mansion apartment in Old Jaffa caught our eye. The location is bang-on too. The vast sands of Charles Clore Beach are just a few minutes walk away, and countless buzzy cafes and restaurants line the history-rich streets surrounding the home. An apartment of this heritage has its quirks –⁠ so expect the communal hallway and terrace to feel a little tired in places. However, the same can’t be said for that impressively well-equipped kitchen. It’s perfect for rustling up lazy brunches to savour on that showstopping terrace. 

City of Oranges

With its enviable seafront position, this apartment makes the perfect setting for a laidback coastal getaway. Outside, you can admire the views while soaking in the jacuzzi or cooking up a treat on the barbecue. Inside, the rooms are well suited to families and groups in search of ease and relaxation. Children’s amenities can be provided, housekeeping can be arranged and free private parking is included in your stay. From here, you can walk to the beach and you’ll find the nearest shops and restaurants also within easy reach. 

The Blue Wonder

This beachfront apartment is a great option for those in search of a laid-back coastal getaway. From the private balcony and family-friendly rooms to the open-plan living space, this is the ideal setting to switch off and savour quality time together. Parking is included in your stay, housekeeping can be arranged and there is the handy addition of a sofa bed for two guests. It’s possible you may hear some street noise while you are here, but the location means easy access to the beach and the nearest amenities. 

Sunset Tones

This luxurious villa is located in the Upper Galilee region of Israel. The heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi are indoors, perfect for year-round use, and the barbecue station has plenty of alfresco seating. At full capacity, several guests will sleep on sofa beds in the living room and in one of the bedrooms, but we think families will love it here – well-behaved pets are allowed on request, and your host can provide a cot for little ones. You'll want a car for getting around – it's a short drive to various hiking trails, heritage sites, shopping centres, and attractions along the Sea of Galilee.

The Feather

Overlooking Sanz Beach, this apartment wins us over with its Mediterranean Sea views and nearby restaurants. Take the lift to the ninth floor and kick your feet up in a polished living area, where the open-concept layout leads you to the balcony. Not only does this home offer practical storage space and a free cot for the littlest guests, but the hot tub features in the bathtub are a bonus. Nature lovers might like to drive to the Udim Reserve for a day trip.

Giants of the Sun

Set in the rolling hillsides of Yaffe Nof fringing the city of Maalot, the setting of this rustic home is idyllic. While the interiors are dated, and the kitchen is pocket-sized, it would suit a family looking for a fuss-free, practical home. Outside, the lawns for a runabout, outdoor Jacuzzi and dining terrace with a barbecue will be an all-around hit. If ten of you stay here, three guests will be sharing a mezzanine space that isn't overly private. Not ideal for some, but it would work great for three older children bunking in together.

Blue Skies, Green Hills

On Israel’s Mediterranean coast, this deluxe apartment is fit for a group of friends or a big family all travelling for a beach break together. It’s a ten-minute walk from Akhziv Beach, where turquoise water laps at golden sand and ruins from the Phoenician era line the seafront. There’s a handful of cafés and bakeries within walking distance, but a ten-minute drive soon sees you in the bustling beachside town of Nahariyya for big supermarkets and plenty of dining options.

Back at the apartment, you’ve got an expansive terrace where lounge furniture takes advantage of the far-reaching sea view. Outside, you’ll find a dining table fit for the whole group and a grill for barbecue lunches. Some of the bedrooms boast their own private balconies too. 

Inside, the open-plan living area makes for a classy and social space, with a double-height ceiling keeping this breezy. Pendant lamps above the dining table and candelabra above the seating area sit alongside modern artworks on gallery-white walls. There are a couple of additional family snugs to hide away in, and a vibrant kids' hang-out room with bean bags to keep the little ones entertained.

The Sea Shines On

Set just a flip-flop from Netanya’s sweeping sandy shores and the city’s hub, the location of this apartment is spot-on. The pared-back, fuss-free interiors may not suit guests looking for a characterful, lived-in home. But you can’t help but swoon at the vast private terrace commanding sea views. It’s worth noting some of the bedrooms are on the snug side compared to the main bedroom with its en-suite, walk-in wardrobe and direct access to the terrace. We’ll leave you to decide who lucks out on that. 

The Edge of Colour

Cosy and compact, what this Haifa apartment lacks in size, it makes up for in location. Homely in style with a slight musical twist, you’re equipped with all you need for a comfortable stay, including a desk for remote working. The private balcony is a nice extra – it's the perfect perch to enjoy a morning coffee or evening tipple. For a taste of the local nightlife, you’ll find bars and restaurants within walking distance. Or, for outdoor enthusiasts, there are beaches, hiking trails on Mount Carmel and the must-visit Bahai Gardens to tickle your fancy. 

Hit the Right Notes

Comfortably nestled beside the sandy shores of Akhziv Beach, for those that love a stroll along the seafront, you couldn’t wish for a more idyllic location. During the summer months, you might be lucky enough to spot the native sea turtles laying their eggs here and if natural swimming lagoons sound like a bit of you, you’ve struck lucky once again.

The apartment itself is crisp and contemporary but cosy all the while. All in all, understated is the charm here, but the addition of a pool table, table tennis table and large, wall–mounted TV ensure entertainment is never in short supply. 

If you ask us, the real jewel in the crown is the balcony area. Fully furnished with a table and cushioned chairs, here you’ll also find a swinging, hammock–style chair, serving up the ideal spot to sip your morning coffee. Just sit back, relax and sway, soaking up those sensational shorefront views as you go.

We’re sure you’ll be in no rush to leave your beautiful beachfront base, but with plenty to see and do closeby, a little adventure is sure to make your trip extra special. With a bar, restaurant, surfboard rental and more, Banana Beach is an absolute must–visit. Venture a teeny bit further and you’ll come to the national park of Akhziv. An ancient site with ruins dating back to the Phoenician era, wide lawns, and natural shallow pools, make full use of this picture–perfect spot by packing a picnic and dining al fresco on–the–go.


The Chair that Rocked

Hands up if you need a relaxing break by the sea with loads of great on-site amenities. At this apartment in the Caesarea area, on the coast between Haifa and Tel Aviv, you can top up your tan, work on your backhand, play a round of golf, swim in the pool, hike and even investigate a Roman amphitheatre. A perfect resort for making the most of your leisure time, it's all right here.

Inside, it's a practical and modern home with a view all the way to the sea. Perfect for a couple or a small family, at a push it could stretch to sleeping six for a short break. We love the floor-to-ceiling windows and the boho-style hanging chair in the living room. After dinner, take a stroll in the communal gardens and plan the next day's adventures.   

Kefi & Dunes

With its privileged position next to Galei Galil Beach, this apartment welcomes you to enjoy the refreshing spirit of coastal living. 

Taking inspiration from the natural tones of the environment, the owners have thoughtfully styled this home to feel like a seaside sanctuary. And whether you’re here to soak up the waves or simply enjoy the laid-back ambience of Nahariya, this is the kind of space that makes you want to settle in and stay. 

From the open-plan living room, the doors open up onto a lovely terrace – this is a wonderful spot to begin the day with a relaxing morning coffee, or later as the sun sets for drinks and dining under the stars.

You’ll find this home provides easy access to the local amenities, with a range of wonderful restaurants and cafes just a ten-minute walk away. The HaGa'aton boulevard is the perfect spot to mingle with locals and watch the world go by. And if you feel like embracing the waves, the renowned surfing spot at Sokolov Beach is just a fifteen-minute walk away.
